This group exhibition features work by three artists showing both the beauty and the transience of (human) nature. According to Eliot Allsop, the world around us is not always what it appears to be. The line between civilization and destruction is thin. In the paintings of Jacques van Erven, you are not invited to enter a paradise, no expansive landscapes with a horizon. Nature goes its own way, despite human intervention. The ceramic works of Hanneke Giezen are about beauty and ugliness, good and bad taste and everything in between. Human behaviour is an interesting subject with all the things we must tackle nowadays.
